Newborn Excretions

Sleep deprivation may cause us to be cranky, irritable and impatient which can lead to petty little arguments, more often then not resolved moments later after realising how ridiculus the whole thing was. However lack of sleep can also have the opposite effect, it can make things that are not overly funny be hilarious.  Random words like rustamuffin, dinagling and picachu gain new meaning and for no apparent reason become laughable.  Old, personal and ongoing jokes seem funnier than ever, but nothing is funnier than your partner having to deal with the worst part of a newborn, wee, poo and spew. This is especially funny when they are covered in newborn excretions and often ends in fits of laughter while attempting to help them in some way.

Last night Dakota had her first real vomit, all over daddy. Hilarious!! She did a great job, it started on his cheek, travelled down his chest, stomach and thigh and poor daddy didn't have a shirt on. In the middle of my laughter and did hold Dakota so he could go to the bathroom, yep it warranted a wet face cloth wash down and new clothing. The look on hubbys face was priceless and well the thought of it now still makes me chuckle.

I don't think anything will beat the time that Jensen managed a projectile poo explosion, which splattered over daddy's work uniform. Priceless. My mother in law even had the camera out taking pictures of him changing a nappy so she managed to get some great pictures in the midst of her laughter.

haha - looking so impressed

It is important to remember these moments, time goes very fast, it is easy to get lost in the madness we know as life and somehow forget to cherish and enjoy the memories we create along the way.
